TP Days: Sushi Day and Working Together

sushi day and working together

We all know that the past few years have been rough.

You got stuck at home and forced to work from there.

It was hell to some people (extroverts, we’re looking at you!) and heaven to others (hello fellow introverts!).

But in the end, we got used to it and even got a few extroverts to join the introverted community.

– Welcome to the club, we serve cookies and inhumane amounts of coffee –

So, we can tell that the work-from-home habits is growing every day. People are getting detached from face-to-face interactions.

Despite having many benefits, working from home is an isolator from real life.

TranslationPartner Loves Balance:

At TranslationPartner, we love to achieve the best of both worlds.

all team working

We keep all the best parts of work from home, while we keep ourselves connected in real life by having an office workday every once in a while, and casual outings every month.

We adore implementing the work/life balance in day-to-day routine for everyone. (We know you end up scrolling through TikTok)

This a concept that we use all of the time as it ensures the best for all people, as they get to have enough time for their personal life which will increase the motivation to enhance their work performance thus increasing the quality of services provided by the company.

How we planned the day:

We started preparing for the day during one of our monthly Zoom meetings (our meetings bring all the cats to the yard and we’re like it’s better than yours).

Our planning process is fairly simple. We everyone to share their ideas about the venue to ensure the day is suitable for all of them so that they can attend the office workday.

Was the work done?

We all met up at 10:00 am (lies! Some of us are late as usual, – judging myself -) and started as usual our workday but it felt different as we broke the routine of being alone in front of a screen all day.

Of course, no work gets done without a nice cup of coffee to provide that kick of energy. we all ordered our coffee and wasted some of our time talking about anime and food.

This face-to-face meeting made our interactions more human and it made lots of necessary workloads so much more efficient and quicker.

Sushi lovers come closer:

After wrapping up the day and finishing all of our work, we decide to have lunch together.

The majority of the group decided to have sushi. – Sushi haters keep out

It was a full new experience for some of our members, but all of our colleagues are open-minded to trying new things and expanding their palette.

Our sushi connoisseurs helped the new sushi members by picking some simple and delicious choices (Spicy lemon for the win) so they can get the best experience out of this decadent meal.

We’re sure the newest members of the sushi club enjoyed their experience and will be more than happy to do it again.

Key Takeaway:

The impact of the office workday has been very positive and everyone (even the introverts) has been more than happy to participate again in such a fun day.

We may or may not have another day planned soon and might even make more than a day.
