African Languages Translation Services
Our African language translation services cover Amharic, Somali, Swahili, Tigrinya and Yoruba for NGOs, healthcare providers, research teams and businesses working in East Africa, West Africa and the Horn of Africa. A native linguist translates every file, a second linguist revises it, and translation plus revision starts at $0.08 per word.

Who it’s for
Who we translate African languages for
Most of our African language work reaches people who need clear information in the language they speak at home.
NGOs and humanitarian teams
Health campaigns, community notices, training material and reports for field programs.
Healthcare providers
Patient information, consent forms and discharge instructions for African-language patients in the US and Europe.
Research teams
Questionnaires, consent forms, interview transcripts and open-ended answers, both ways.
Businesses and agencies
Contracts, HR documents and product content for African markets, and white-label work for translation agencies.
Getting it right
What to know about African language projects
Ge’ez script for Amharic and Tigrinya
Amharic and Tigrinya use the Ethiopic (Ge’ez) script. We check that fonts display it correctly in your final files, not only in the translation.
Regional usage
Eritrean and Ethiopian Tigrinya, or Kenyan and Tanzanian Swahili, use different words. We match the usage to where your readers live.
Yoruba tone marks
Yoruba uses tone marks that change a word’s meaning. We keep them in every file, so the text reads correctly.
Plain language for wide audiences
Community and health content is written for everyday readers, with technical terms explained instead of left in English.
